- Abstract
- The reaction of Mn(ClO4)2·6H2O with (2-methylenepropan-1,3-diyl)bis(diphenylphosphine oxide) (L) in a methanol medium yielded a previously unknown complex [MnL2(MeOH)2](ClO4)2. According to X-ray diffraction data, its Mn2+ ion has a distorted octahedral environment formed by two chelate L ligands and two coordinated methanol molecules. At 298 K, this complex exhibits low-intensity dual luminescence, the low-energy component of which is attributed to Mn2+-centered phosphorescence, and the high-energy component is assigned to intraligand fluorescence.
